Engineering Firm Servicing the Steel Industry
Sponseller Group lists a number of steel manufacturers and processors as clients. For these companies we analyze existing processes, design new structures, complete platforms, fall protection. We have been fortunate enough to work in several areas of the facilities including EAF, LMF, casters, rolling mill, shipping and scrap handling areas. Our partnership with several steel companies over the past 10 years enables us to offer useful options to solving their challenges. We assist them with projects that continually update their process and make it more economical and efficient.
Emission Reduction Project
A foundry based in Wisconsin required emission reductions to comply with the EPA. Working in association with a nationally ranked engineering firm, the company decided to install a cyclone precipitator. Sponseller Group was requested by the engineering firm to design a supporting structure for the unit consisting of columns, beams, walkways, ladders, stairs and a maintenance monorail. The structure rests on a mat foundation with helical piles, penetrates through the roof and stands over six stories tall. This is just one of the many ongoing successful projects completed for this engineering firm.
Architectural Concepts
One of our clients requested us to develop a number of architectural building concepts for a new headquarters building. We came up with four different exterior layouts and also laid out the interior office spaces with desks, furniture, chairs and lighting. Inside shots were taken enabling the client to view the interior spaces and modify them to suit their needs. All work was completed using AutoCAD for Architects software. We have two employees that have received customized training by Autodesk so that we can utilize the software's full potential for our client's typical applications.
